Your job

As an Azure Engineer, you are responsible for designing and implementing the technical architecture of the DIAL platform. You will work closely with development engineers, system administrators, and security professionals to ensure that the platform meets ABN AMRO’s needs while adhering to best practices in scalability, reliability, fault tolerance and security.

Working environment

Platforms & Technology is ABN AMRO's Internal (IT) Service Provider and delivers state of the art IT with optimal technology, easy to consume services, and end to end control & oversight. P&T is a service-based organisation, providing IT to ABN AMRO employees and grids with reliable, in control, business-enabling, easily adaptable and future-proof IT platforms & technologies which can be consumed via self-service mechanism and allow a shorter time to market for (new) functionalities. To become a personal bank in a digital age all departments of Platforms & Technology do their part to deliver a future proof foundation for the IT landscape. The grid Data & Analytics Platform within P&T delivers the platform capabilities related to data distribution and analytics.

Your profile

You are a practical thinker, a do-er, whose behavior reflects the culture principles of courage, care and collaboration. You have proven to be able to contribute and lead technical topics as an IT Platform Engineer (or comparable role) within an agile working environment, managing dependencies, risks and collaboration within the team and grid. Your day-to-day work would include : 

• Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the core infrastructure components of the platform, such as networking, storage, and compute resources.
• Collaborate with DIAL DevOps Blocks to ensure that the platform can support the application workloads effectively.
• Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the platform to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Must Haves

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Azure Infrastructure, Devops
• Experience with Infra As Code (YAML, BICEP, Terraform templates)
• Affinity for Standardization of Infra Resources
• Networking with VNETs and Firewalls

Should Have

• Prior Experience working with Enterprise level infra setup
• Containerisation with Azure
• Focus on Re-usablity of components, Cost Optimization
• Experience with Connecting Cloud Resources with OnPrem and other cloud platforms (AWS)
• Experience with Platform Resiliency around Patch Upgrades, Disaster Recovery etc.

Nice to Have

• Azure Security and Policy Implementation
• Templating a platform as Code and Infra
