Cloud FinOps Engineer
The financial operations of our IT department are in good hands with you. You will be happy to advise all our business units on how they can manage and reduce their IT-related costs as efficiently as possible.
Our central IT department (Group IT) is the beating heart of IT within NN. We work with the newest technologies and ensure that all our business units are equipped with the latest cloud services. An important goal of the implementation of our Target Operating Model is to do this as cost-efficiently as possible. And that's where you fly in, you'll form the bridge between tech and finance. You come up with great cost-saving measures on IT for our teams of Cloud Engineers, but also all our business units. In addition, you convince your colleagues of the importance of cost efficiency and let them learn more about your structured methods and dashboards.

A Cloud FinOps Engineer has a versatile range of tasks, so no day will look the same. One day you're analyzing impressive cost data and the next day you're talking to the customer and convincing them of your analysis and solutions. Your responsibilities:
- Checking invoices from our cloud suppliers and linking them to the costs incurred by the business units
- Analyze the cloud-consumption and create insight for the customer through dashboards in our cloud cost management tool Cloudability
- You talk to the customer to make them aware of the cloud costs and give advice on (creative) solutions to achieve cost savings
- Your personal goal is to standardize and automate cost savings by writing scripts

As a Cloud FinOps Engineer, you have the opportunity to fully master the financial domain within the cloud. With a curious and driven attitude, you can achieve a lot. You bring the following points with you based on interest or previous experience:
- Experience in AWS and/or Azure Cloud
- Experience with tooling like PowerBI and with scripting languages like PowerShell and Python
- Understanding of cloud cost models and cloud cost management tools like Cloudability
- FinOps Practitioner Certificate is preferred or you are open for obtaining this within 3 months
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented capabilities and a strong customer focus

The NN Public Cloud Domain consists of the AWS, Azure, Container, and CI/CD platform teams. The teams are working hard to deliver a future-proof IT infrastructure within NN and FinOps is playing an increasingly important role in this. That is why we are looking for a third Cloud FinOps Engineer. You work closely with the cloud engineers and the teams lean on your financial expertise. There is an open and pleasant working atmosphere within the domain where team outings are often organized. You like to seek contact with your colleagues but are also comfortable with working independently.
