The Business Restructuring Consultant advises Dutch and European firms on restructuring, refinancing, mergers, acquisitions, and insolvency, collaborating across teams to improve under-performing companies' operations and strategies.

Job Description & Summary

Would you like to be part of an inspiring and stimulating environment? Then is Consultant Business Restructuring, the right position for you. The Business Restructuring Services (BRS) team stands for getting under-performing companies back on track and helping them on their way to a successful future.

This is what you will do

As part of the BRS team you advise under-performing Dutch and European companies on restructuring, refinancing, accelerated mergers and acquisitions and insolvency options – finding the best way forward for the business and its stakeholders. From family-run organizations to major listed multinationals, you help underperforming businesses, and those with interest in them, understand and solve their problems. That might mean coming up with strategies to turn the company around, restructure its debt/capital structure, operations, or guiding it through an insolvency process.

If you join our team, you will work intensively with more than 30 colleagues from junior to partner level. You always work together in sub teams with team members of different function levels. We offer you an environment where you can be yourself and where your view will be welcomed, regardless of your position or background. You will have your own responsibilities, direct client contact and contact with various stakeholders (banks, companies, PE and curators).

You also interact a lot with PwC colleagues from Tax, Assurance and other (M&A) Deals teams. In this way our clients always receive the specialist information they need to make the right decision. Whether the client needs advice or assistance with an operational restructuring or refinancing, we are always there.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the restructuring processes so that you learn a lot and grow in your role on both a professional and personal level.

Who are you?

  • You have a University degree in finance, (financial) economics, business administration or Law & Economics;
  • You are a talent interested in M&A;
  • You know how to make an impact, have strong analytical skills and are curious;
  • You have excellent skills in Dutch and English (both oral and written).

This is what we offer you

At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team we offer:

  • A competitive salary,attractive pension plan and the opportunity to grow;
  • Customised training for professional growth and leadership development;
  • Motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are highly valued;
  • Comprehensive benefits including "well-being budget” for physical and mental health;
  • Flexibility of hybrid working, including ergonomic home office and fixed expense allowance including internet allowance;
  • Attractive mobility options, including electric lease car, car waiver allowance and the possibility of using different shared transport providers;
  • 30 vacation days per year;
  • Fun extras such as various informal company activities;
  • YoungPwC: where young employees are given the opportunity to network and exchange knowledge. The experience and tips of their colleagues greatly benefit young PwC professionals and help them achieve their ambitions within PwC.
