
Data Analyst
The Data Management Office consists of a small team of dedicated professionals. Together we are responsible for a broad range of activities, that contribute to improving data quality and data management within NN Bank. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the assurance of good data quality through clear reports/insights, concrete and appropriate proposals, advice for improving data (solving data issues and improving data quality), and monitoring.
You understand a constructive, cooperative and good relationship with all internal and external stakeholders is essential, as is the follow-up and monitoring on delivery specifications. Also, you have a technical background and like to work with data.

This job offers you a monthly salary between €3.973 and €5.676 depending on your experience. This is based on a 36-hour work week (but 32-40 hours is also possible), excluding a 13th month and holiday allowance.
Wat je gaat doen
The main activities that relate to this responsibility are:
- Collecting, analyzing and interpreting source data from centralized data warehouses regarding front-office/data-input and external (market)data from the product suite of NN Bank
- Analyzing large volumes of data to ensure data is complying to the set requirements, following up with any identified risks and reporting any data quality issues to relevant stakeholders
- Cooperate with data stewards to enhance data management practices
- You understand the requirements data management must comply with
- You’ll advise on adequate interpretation, and you actively contribute to raising awareness to get data quality to a higher level
- Communicating complex data analysis results and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- You keep in close contact with various internal and external stakeholders within NN Bank and with external stakeholders. Part of your job is to convince IT teams outside the department to solve the data issues that impact external parties
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in data analytics, risk management, and regulatory requirements relevant to banking

Wat je meebrengt
You have strong analytical skills and can see the big picture. You have excellent communication skills to connect with different stakeholders and explain complex matters in a simple way. Additionally, you have the following qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Information Systems or a quantitative field
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the financial industry sector (experience with data management/monitoring, data analysis and DQ reporting is preferred)
- Proven experience with Power BI, Azure Databricks, Python, SAS, SQL and/or version control software (qualifications are preferred) or willing to learn this
- Basic knowledge of regulatory and business requirements for Credit Risk (e.g. AIRB, IFRS9, Stress testing) and ALM Risk models or willing to learn this
- Professional communication skills in Dutch and English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate with (senior) management
- Attention to detail and ability to identify data anomalies and follow-up with root cause analysis and monitoring
