What you are going to do

You are going to use technologies and tools such as AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.), JavaScript/TypeScript (Next.js, React, NestJS, Node.js and more). Besides directly contributing to the codebase, your responsibility is to coach more junior colleagues to become better software engineers, help us develop general best practices and foster a true engineering culture. Your main responsibilities are to:

Build software with the best possible user experience, while following an API-first approach
Implement modern best practices for software development, such as automated building, testing and deployment through CI/CD
Collaborate closely with your team members by doing pair and mob programming
Coach juniors to become better software engineers and further develop their strengths
Talk to other teams, and users to explore their needs and produce feasible solutions
Advocate a DevOps mindset and help us to create a true engineering culture

You are an all-round software engineer, but more importantly, a team player. You have a strong sense of ownership, high quality engineering standards and the ability to develop high quality code. You clearly communicate with others, and both seek out and provide constructive feedback. You maintain a growth mindset and feel responsible for both the technical and personal development of the team and the department. Finally, you are eager to learn and always looking to acquire new skills or try modern technologies, methodologies, and processes. You currently reside in the Netherlands.

What you will bring is:

3+ years of experience in software development
Frontend development: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and knowledge of any modern frontend framework (Preferably React)
Backend development: experience with any modern backend tech stack (Preferably NestJS)
Experience building applications using AWS (e.g., API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, etc.)
A passion for automation and implementing recurring tasks, testing, and security in CI/CD systems
Experience with tools and frameworks like Next.js, NestJS, TypeSpec, Zod, AWS CDK and Nx is a big plus
Experience with Camunda, Docker or K8s is a plus
