IT Development Engineer - Backlog Management

We're looking for

An IT Development Engineer to join us in Jira & Confluence Team (also known as ‘BB8’) of the Development Tooling department. The Development Tooling department. is responsible for the development environment for all of the ABN AMRO development teams in the Netherlands, Germany, France, UK and India.

As IT Development Engineer you will be working with team of 8 people including PO on challenges product teams face in the area of backlog management, portfolio management and related capabilities. Your job is to get a thorough understanding of the challenges and provide the technical solutions. In addition you will be working on the actual technical implementation and maintenance and support of the solutions.

Our department

Development Tooling consists 12 teams, each covering a separate part of the development lifecycle from start to finish. In this scope, BB8 is responsible for backlog and portfolio management tooling in this environment. All teams in our department work as DevOps teams, meaning that they are equally responsible for both development (Infra-as-code, Ansible, ARM templates) and the subsequent operational work (monitoring, incident management, functional questions, patching, admin-activity).

BB8 is currently responsible for the following tools:

• Jira, Jira Align, Confluence
• Azure Boards (Part of Azure DevOps)
• Sparx EA, Aris, Box.com, Protopie, Figma and more

Your profile

We are looking for an engineer that has the following profile:

• You are a good communicator
• You have strong functional and technical  knowledge on Jira, Jira align and confluence.
• You have experience implementing Backlog and portfolio management processes using Jira align.
• You have experience maintaining applications and application stacks in DTAP for a medium/large company on Azure cloud
• You have a lot of energy.
• You enjoy helping people. 
• You have patience.
• You want to learn on the Azure platform and SaaS tooling.
• You have an interest in networking on Azure.
• You have debugging/problem solving skills.

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
