Job Description & Summary

The Data Analytics and Technology (DAT) team is as a hub for financial professionals with a keen interest in technology and innovation within the Deals business unit. This team contributes to major transactions to deliver data-driven insights that are crucial for prospective mergers and acquisitions. FAST being a cornerstone of the DAT team, focusses on delivering deeper financial insights in a Deals context.  The team is responsible for creating financial data models and analyses for approximately 100+ deals annually and works seamlessly with our financial due diligence practice. 

What will you be doing?

We seek a strategic and innovative Team Manager for our FAST team. In this role you will be one of the main points of contact for the project team’s financial data models. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee the core data structuring activities of the FAST team, ensuring high-quality output across all projects;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client and internal stakeholder communications, maintaining strong relationships and effectively managing expectations;
  • Review and validate the output from the offshore team, ensuring adherence to PwC standards and industry best practices;
  • Provide ongoing training and support to team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture;
  • Coordinate with geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project outcomes;
  • Facilitate 3-month rotations of trainees into the FAST-team, ensuring the transfer of career crucial skills onto them, such as: data structuring, financial statement build up and cube interaction best practices;
  • Cultivate an environment of learning and growth, preparing the next generation of financial professionals for meaningful careers in Deals;
  • Implement existing technologies to enhance operational efficiency, utilizing AI-powered tools to improve deal insights and delivery speed;
  • Identify new opportunities and areas to implement efficiencies and develop innovative techniques;
  • Collaborate with a global network of developers and specialists from Australia, the UK, and the US to pilot, test, and professionalize new solutions. 

Does this describe you?

  • 4-6 years of experience in a business environment, with a preference for management or consulting experience;
  • Comfortable with financial statements, consolidation schedules, trial balances, with a rudimentary understanding of bookkeeping;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing geographically distributed teams, ideally in a data-driven deals environment;
  • Strong proficiency in reviewing of data transformation processes and the adoption of emerging technologies;
  • Proficient in reviewing of work performed in Excel, Alteryx, powerBI;
  • Excellent project management, and stakeholder communication skills;
  • Proven track record in driving innovation and implementing technology improvements;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
