EY’s Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) practice supports clients across different domains: Supply Chain, Procurement, Operational Excellence (both in Manufacturing and Services Organizations) and Smart Factory. In this role as Manager, your focus will be on Procurement.

The opportunity

In Procurement we help leading companies with for example their Procurement operating model, strategy development, strategy implementation, sustainable sourcing or a spend analysis.

As a manager, your role will be to lead projects within client engagements. You will work independently as well as in teams at our clients, supporting them with improving their business performance. You will use your quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to help structure and analyse the problems of the client and report the findings and results.
Develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships and identify new business opportunities in an international environment (e.g. by responding to RFP’s, developing proposals and thought leadership).
You will play an active role and contribute to the team internally by developing project proposals, solutions, trainings, and thought leadership.

As Manager Procurement, you are the driving force behind meaningful transformation projects at our clients. Your key role will be to deliver projects that improve our client’s business performance. Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will manage procurement transformation projects and identify- and start new related projects. Further responsibilities are:

Build, maintain and strengthen internal and client relationships to increasingly become a trusted point of contact and identify new business opportunities in an international environment (e.g. by responding to RFP’s, developing proposals and thought leadership).
Deliver Procurement projects for industry-leading clients in and outside the Netherlands, within a multi-disciplinary team.
Deliver solutions for complex and existing challenges in the field of Procurement (e.g. Sustainability regulations and compliance, spend analysis and/or cost optimization).
Contribute to and be an active member of a core project team, often working with others from different parts of EY’s world.
Maintain an understanding of advancements in digital procurement and analytics.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Ideally, 6-8 years’ experience in a Procurement related environment (Consulting or business).
Excellent analytical capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit, intrinsic motivation to help establish & strengthen relationships with our clients, drive, enthusiasm, conceptual thinking, communication and influencing skills and pragmatism in execution.
Strong commercial mindset, with the ability to identify and cultivate quality relationships, transforming them into business opportunities and effectively selling consulting projects to drive sustained business growth.
Leadership experience with a people-oriented mindset and commitment to support the development of others, through taking on coaching and counselling roles for team members in an international environment.
A master’s degree preferably in the field of Business, Operations management, or Supply Chain Management and fluent language skills in English.

Ideally, you will also have

Experience working with Senior Executives (at client companies).
An open and flexible mindset on working abroad and on working on different projects within the supply chain.
Experience in procurement transformation programs and delivery to multinational clients.
Command of Dutch language skills.
