Senior Privacy Officer PME

Would you like to contribute to the data protection of Rabobank worldwide? As a member of the Product Management & Expertise (PME) team which is part of the Global Privacy Office (GPO) you will collaborate and align with the privacy coordinators and experts around the globe!

You and your job

PME provides specialized (deep knowledge) expertise on data protection themes - also in relation to AI and ESG-  and is responsible for global policies and standards, high risk and complex case management and support to the Rabobank organization with regards to complex privacy matters.

PME is looking for a hands-on and agile Senior Privacy Officer to team up with our other experts, who also knows his or her way in tech, PETs, digital laws and/or security.

As a Privacy Officer you contribute by supporting the GPO (2nd line) in exercising her regulatory oversight tasks, and in informing, advising and issuing recommendations to the organization. Using your expertise, knowledge and skills, you make sure that Rabobank processes, retains and disposes records in line with internal and external guidelines, protects personal data and acts within the legal and ethical boundaries. You can make a difference by making sure we as a bank ‘do the right thing’.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Providing expert opinions to improve overall data protection at Rabobank;
• Realizing the development and implementation of privacy policies and standards;
• Absorbing new and upcoming laws, regulations and regulatory guidances, and assessing the impact for Rabobank before these regulatory requirements are translated into clear instructions and guidance for over 40,000 Rabobank colleagues world-wide;
• Of course you also help out your colleagues from team DOS (Data Protection Oversight) and team DPS (Data Protection Support) with dPIAs, data breaches and other stuff when needed. Our teams work together to get things done; together we are one GPO.

The more than 30 people in the 2nd line GPO make sure that Rabobank processes personal data, in line with internal and external guidelines, protects personal data and acts within the legal and ethical boundaries. You and your talent

• Hbo/wo with 5-10 years of experience in privacy or  (operational) risk management governance, IT security, tech or another relevant domain;
• (senior) Stakeholder management and program management skills;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;
• Hands-on and agile;
• Complex problem solving and customer oriented attitude;
• Capable of functioning in a large, complex, international organization with a diverse stakeholders framework with different interests;
• It is nice if you have experience working in large organizations or in an a international financial institution;
• You have one or more of the following certifications: CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM certification, the post executive specialization course on Privacy and Data Protection Legislation, Grotius or similar.

This is what we offer you

• Up to 8.793,26 EUR gross per month (salary scale 11), depending on your relevant knowledge, skills and experience;
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance;
• An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out;
• A combination of working from home and at the office. We are flexible, and hope you can be too. What that means is that we expect you to be in Utrecht at least one day a week, and that working hours and time tables are negotiable;
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport;
• A pension scheme to which you contribute.
