Working environment
Within the Corporate Credits Grid, we strive to enable entrepreneurs to make a positive impact in society. This starts with simpler, faster (and thus digital) processes to improve the day-to-day experience of our clients and employees. However, ABN AMRO believes that it needs to re-imagine its lending services in order to stay relevant for entrepreneurs in a rapidly changing world. This will lead Corporate Credits on a journey beyond traditional banking and will require us to apply more data-driven solutions and integrated solutions with external partners.
Taking a glance at the IT Landscape of Corporate Credits; it includes ~20 scrum blocks (“squads”), working together in one Grid (“tribe”) and has a variety of platforms and technologies like:
- Home build Java applications running on Azure
- Commercial of the shelf applications, running within our own data center or as SaaS
- Tibco for workflows
- Cobol & Mainframe for heavy processing
- Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory for data engineering
Your job
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analyzing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. You’ll touch upon following activities as a part of your day to day responsibilities:
- Test new features on different test levels (integration, system, functional, regression, exploratory testing), write and/or conduct test plans with schedules and dependencies, as well as carry out manual and automation testing.
- You are responsible for working with business in creating functional scenarios & automating the same.
- Participates in product creation process in an early stage with the focus on QA. You understand business processes and has the ability to connect business process to functional scenarios and technicalities.
- Checks the possibility of test automation in all areas and is ready to develop frameworks if required.
- Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focusing on holistic solutions.
- Have experience in working with cross functional teams and in coordinating integration activities.
- Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore, you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners/Business Developers.
- Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CI/CD processes.
- Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
Your profile
Do you think you‘re a fit? Check your profile on the minimum requirements:
- Have 8+ years of working experience in the field of testing.
- Have experience with manual testing, automation testing, and database testing
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory is a plus
- Understand code and know how work with Java and Python in order to maintain test automation framework.
Nice to haves:
- Have knowledge about one or more of the following methods: test case design, exploratory testing, regression testing, end to end (chain) testing
- Have experience in collaboration tools such as JIRA/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
- Can collaborate within mixed scrum teams with clients and know how to give the right advice on testing matters.
- Have analytical mind and very good communication skills.
- Enjoy coaching, mentoring and helping team members grow.
- Speaks English fluently & Dutch is a plus.
