Within the Data Office, we have a team responsible for building impactful AI solutions. These AI solutions help our Schade & Inkomen department to digitize important processes. An example of this is the digitization of our Claims processes. Your main goal is to work with your colleagues to create AI solutions for operational teams such as Acceptance and Claims.

In the past year, we have implemented various applications that use LLMs, and we are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to modularize these applications and then further scale them. With your solution-oriented and proactive mindset, you will work with the Data Scientists in the team to design the best AI solution for business problems. You will independently search for the best solutions to problems and write high-quality code to create stable applications. We work agilely with colleagues from the business on projects that are often sprint-spanning.

Specifically, you will write code to translate the AI solutions devised by the Data Scientist into production-worthy applications, so that your solutions can truly create value for our company of tomorrow. Investigating and applying new technology plays an important role. In addition, you actively contribute to innovation within NN. During our monthly innovation day, you will work with your colleagues to investigate which new techniques are applicable within our company.

You are an all-round software engineer who is comfortable working on back-end projects. We are looking for someone who can develop high-quality code and is very eager to learn and actively seeking new skills. You are results-oriented and enjoy delivering projects for the business, but see the most value in the further adoption of our AI solutions. Your open attitude and strong communication skills are a huge help here. In addition, you have:

A completed university education with a master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or another STEM-related field, in which you gained experience in developing applications
Experience in developing APIs, Azure, CI/CD, Git
Extensive experience in programming in Python
Experience in setting up and conducting unit testing and code reviews
Experience in performing the necessary Ops work (serverless, pipelines, observability, configuration management, compliance, etc.)
A plus if you have experience in setting up a process orchestration layer (Camunda)
